Tami Stronach made her acting debut as “The Childlike Empress” (the monarch of Fantastica, who resides in the Ivory Tower palace in the heart of the realm) in The Neverending Story (1984)…
Believe it or not, since the days of her childhood role, she has become a member of a series of well-respected underground dance troupes based in the U.S., Israel and Europe. She has also choreographed and performed her own works.

“I use music, or things that imply performance, because I’m first and foremost a fan, I guess. I’m also preoccupied with instances wherein an audience can’t disengage from a fantasy; where the suspension of disbelief stays suspended past the point of a performance, and somehow takes the place of whats generally understood as a “real” relationship to the world, morality, etc. The music I reference has a history of engendering that condition more than most other things out there in the world.”
(Banks Violette interviewed by Christine Macel, September 2005)
