Alina Szapocznikow’s Lampes Bouche I. Grotesque and indifferent to all that surrounds them. A warm and deceptively comforting glow. I had to cross the room for them and for a long time I froze. My form involuntarily mimicked theirs. A still inquisitivness. I think I may have heard them whisper. When I thawed I photographed them as I do when I really need to remember a moment.
