I could talk about Alice in Wonderland for hours…unfortunately when I have nobody to talk to, you, dear Sang Bleu readers, suffer the consequences of it.

So, I just found out about this 1988 nightmarish esoteric version of Carroll’s fiction. Directed by the transverse Czech filmmaker Jan Å vankmajer, it is made of filmed scenes mixed with animation.

I read somewhere that the New Yorker commented upon it that the world of movie-goers was now divided in two categories…the ones who never heard about Å vankmajer, and the ones who did.
