Currently reading : Favourite looks from Damir Doma’s ’14 Resort collection
Presented in Florence’s Corsini gardens Doma’s latest Resort collection consisted of twelve thoroughly thought out and elegant looks. Usually understood as a purveyor of harsh and monochromic garment design this particular collection re-angled itself from this expectation. Although this selection of designs may initially appear softer and more feminine there is still a strength in which the models carried with then when wearing these pieces. There is a certain kind of aesthetic intelligence in which Doma portrays onto his women through these clothes without looking too overpowering. The choice of colours and prints could have easily appeared too powerful but instead they completely override the possibility of clashing hues and uncomfortable graphic combinations. The clinched waist, exposed waists and long v necks could have easily resembled an obvious kind of sexiness which was avoided in this collection and replaced with a far more appealing attractiveness.
